Our Story

I didn’t set out to become a fiber maker, but looking back, the thread is clear.

I’ve always been drawn to patterns — how structure creates form, and how small, repeated movements build something meaningful over time.

By day, I work as a teacher. Outside of that space, fiber became a way to turn precision, texture, and rhythm into something tangible. Knitting and crochet meet me in a place where structure and intuition work together.

The name 7 Room Rock comes from a limestone formation in northeastern Alabama, part of the landscape I call home. Not much is formally documented about its history, but it is said to have served as shelter for Native Americans in pre-colonial times. That sense of grounding, endurance, and quiet presence stays with me.

7RR grew from that pull toward structure, shelter, warmth, and place. Each piece is made in small batches, with care and attention to how it feels, how it wears, and how it carries presence.

This is not fast fashion. It is slow, tactile work — made for people who notice texture, warmth, and the quiet beauty of useful things.
