The 7RR Approach: Aesthetics and Materials

Our work is guided by a design philosophy I think of as Stone & Structure.

It begins with form, texture, repetition, and lasting presence. Each piece is built through small, deliberate movements — stitch by stitch, row by row — until structure becomes warmth.

Many pieces begin with established patterns, but the work becomes my own through interpretation: the choice of material, the adjustment of proportion, the refinement of texture, the finish, the drape, and the final presence of the piece.

The aesthetic carries an atmospheric influence drawn from the natural landscape around me: weathered stone, winter air, muted fields, shadowed woods, clay, bark, smoke, and shifting Southern light.

7RR is rooted in the balance between solidity and softness — structure and movement, shelter and atmosphere, usefulness and beauty.

Nothing rushed. Nothing disposable. Just carefully made fiber pieces with texture, warmth, and quiet strength.
